</figcaption></figure>Norm Macdonald has widely been regarded as one of the best late-night talk show guests of all-time. A simple YouTube search will yield example after example of Norm stealing the show.
Back in April 2017, we were fortunate to have the same thing happen on “My Guys in the Desert” with Brent Musburger, Vinny Magliulo and Chris Andrews. It was no secret at that time that Norm was big into sports betting and was also someone who frequented the poker room.
He was in town performing stand-up at the South Point and, of course, we had to ask him to join the show. We often say that locks don’t exist, but it was a lock that it was going to be a great segment.

It was an honor to have Norm on the show. It remains one of our most iconic segments.
Norm spent his final months live-tweeting about bets that he had made across golf, basketball and hockey. His final tweets were about the NBA Finals and The Open Championship. He also enjoyed playing poker and was seen frequently around the WSOP.
A quote attributed to Macdonald says, “They call gambling a disease, but it’s the only disease where you can win a bunch of money.”
Hopefully we can all honor Norm by doing exactly that.
RIP to an absolute legend.
